Using time as a concept and social media as inspiration, the infamous “F” logo is manifested into a physical structure to create a different type of connection to the social media platform that is Facebook.
Constructed by hand, using wood, the structure took 1 month to complete and was documented using a time-lapse format.
It is proportionately scaled from the actual logo and was designed to stand at 9-feet tall. As such, it measures just one inch taller than the tallest human ever recorded in history.
A sound component installed inside the structure plays the soundtrack of the movie, “The Social Network” at a speed slowed down by 800%. The ethereal sound and vibration emanating from within, suggests a meditative state that not only encourages viewers to slow down and take notice of the super icon, but also confronts them on physical dimension.
