French artist daniel buren is probably best known for his iconic outdoor installation with striped columns at thepalais royal in paris. he was invited by luxembourg’s mudam and centre pompidou-metz in metz to create site-specific installations at both venues. the work he created here at mudam intentionally interacts with the museum’s architecture by i.m. pei, adding a totally new and colourful dynamic to the grand hall’s atrium. As you can see, the result is pretty spectacular.
